A burst of fresh thinking on the impacts of international connectivity for the North
Movement Matters is a series of inspirational seminars, debates and workshops in the UK and USA, exploring new inspiring ideas about places, people and economies. The UK sessions organised by Steer Davies Gleaves have so far featured a range of thought-provoking and stimulating topics including ‘The rise of the high-rise’ on how London can cope with increasingly higher densities, and the future of the taxi industry with ‘Disruption or decline, what’s next for the black cab’.
SDG Economic Development is joining Steer Davies Gleaves in the organisation of their next event in the Movement Matters series - A new horizon – Manchester/Beijing connectivity.
The session will take place on Wednesday 11 October in Manchester and will provide a forum for an informed discussion on how the direct Manchester-Beijing flight route is impacting Greater Manchester and the wider North.
Our specially-selected expert panel will discuss the various ways in which this direct connectivity can lead to broader, sustained economic benefits, including the associated infrastructural investment, added value to the skills and knowledge base and enhanced trade performance.
