Creating Salford’s Culture Strategy to secure a long-term future
In February 2017, Salford City Council, the University of Salford and Arts Council England signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at The Lowry Arts Centre. The MoU captures an ambition and recognition that Salford has reached a stage in its growth and economic development where the City’s leaders face pivotal decisions to secure Salford’s long-term future and to ensure that future is balanced, socially inclusive and economically resilient.
This assignment is to provide support to partners in Salford developing a culture strategy that enables them to realise these goals.
The project involves asset mapping, policy and document reviews, stakeholder consultation, and priority setting.
In delivering this assignment, SDG Economic Development is working with AEA Consulting. Scott Dickinson is the project director, and Fiona Tuck is the project manager for SDG Economic Development.
