Developing the Royal Borough of Greenwich 2030 economic strategy

Working with Oxford Economics, we have been commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to develop its economic strategy through to 2030. This work will span a period of seven months, and comprises three distinct phases:

  • A baselining phase, involving the development of comprehensive and communicable evidence base. This will be set within a long-run view of the area’s employment, GVA and productivity performance, together with full projections of the same variables through to 2030. This past and future performance assessment work will be based on Oxford Economics’ Local Area Forecasting Model ;

  •  A strategy development phase, using the key messages and forecasting work from the first phase’s baseline to frame clear, specific and appropriate strategic objectives for the area.

  •  A third action-planning phase, pulling forward the strategic objectives into appropriate delivery actions. These comprise a mix of calibrated existing actions and new initiatives, to fill specific gaps between what the new strategy is calling for and what existing activity is already underway.
