Independent Technical Evaluators to Humberside LEP’s Growth Deal Projects

SDG Economic Development, working with Planning and Development colleagues from Steer Davies Gleave, has been appointed through a national competitive process to act as the Independent Technical Evaluator (ITE) to the Humberside Local Enterprise Partnerships’ Growth Deal process.

The project team is operating as technically expert and objective specialists to review, critique, and formally assess applications to the Growth Deal fund from local partners. These applications range from early project ideas and concepts, to outline business cases/plans, and on to full-blown business cases and funding requests. 

At every stage, our work will be developmental and supportive, working to help identify how and where submissions can be more developed and strengthened, maximising the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of the cases proposed.

This work covers proposals in the enterprise/competitiveness, skills/labour market, transport, housing and flood risk/mitigation domains. For the latter two areas, the SDG Economic Development and Steer Davies Gleave teams are being supplemented by specialist appraisers from, respectively, Three Dragons Ltd and JBA Consulting Ltd. This work will last 24 months.
