Evaluation support for the Gateway Review process

Steer Economic Development has been commissioned by the West of England Combined Authority to provide evaluation support for the Gateway Review process of the 30-year, £900 million devolved Investment Fund.

The evaluation includes a mid-term (2023) and final (2025) assessment of how the development and delivery of the Fund have contributed to changes in local economic development capacity and partnership working.

Steer Economic Development will conduct stakeholder consultations and an online survey of stakeholders involved in economic development in the West of England. The findings from the consultations and the survey will be analysed and triangulated to inform an Evidence Paper, which will be submitted to the West of England Combined Authority and form part of the Gateway Review submission to the Government.
